Caribbean Spicy Chicken Wings
Alitas picantes al horno
Crispy-edged oven wings with savory Caribbean flavor and a heat level you control. No bottled hot sauce or complicated spice rub needed.
Serves: 4 Prep: 10 min Cook: 40–45 min
Ingredients
- 2 lb chicken wings, split at the joints
- 1 tsp Tití seasoning to start, plus more to taste
- 1½ tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp fine salt, or to taste
- Optional: 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter, to finish
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet and add an oven-safe rack if available.
- Pat the wings very dry. Toss with olive oil, Tití, and salt.
- Spread the wings apart in a single layer. Roast for 40–45 minutes, turning once, until browned and at least 165°F (74°C) internally.
- Optional: toss cooked wings with melted butter for a glossy finish. Taste one before adding extra Tití.
What makes it different
Tití blends habanero, garlic, tomato, bell pepper, annatto, and coriander with oil and salt for savory Caribbean flavor and adjustable heat. A little goes a long way, and it seasons the whole batch of wings. Start with ½ tsp Tití for 1 lb of wings. Taste after cooking and increase only if you want more heat.
Serve with celery sticks, crunchy tostones, or La Conserva yogurt dip.
